Auditions are 5-7 minutes long and will consist of the following: sing “Frere Jacques” (in French or English) and “America the Beautiful” or “America” (My Country ’tis of Thee). Song lyrics will be available for you at the rehearsal, you do not have to memorize the songs. You will also be asked to echo a few melodic patterns from the piano. Singers who read music may be asked to demonstrate their proficiency. (It will be easy!)
