Not just for grown-ups anymore!! “A Night at the Opera” will close FCCC 2018-2019 season – Bizet’s fiery Carmen, Lakme by Delibes, Verdi’s Il Tavatore and Hansel and Gretl by Englebert Humperdinck will be among the selections performed by all four of our choirs. Come enjoy our year end celebration, featuring a wide array of musical styles – classical to folk to gospel and everything in between. Always a crowd pleaser, Song for the Mira is sure to be a highlight of the evening!!

Our special guest will be Katherine Brandt Fili who joined FCCC in the year 2000. When she was in the fifth grade the Connecticut Grand Opera requested that the FCCC provide a dozen young singers for their production of Tosca. That experience eventually led Katherine to major in voice and opera in college. She is presently singing with the Toledo Opera as understudy to Carmen. We will be performing selected arias, duets and choruses from various favorite operas. Katherine will perform two arias, including the Habanera from Carmen, with FCCC choristers joining in on the Chorus parts. She also performs in various choruses, church choirs and opera companies.
